PC voted to pay Kent County Council for the cost of the Community Warden.  Ash cum Ridley PC have offered to pay for 1½ days per week.

Parish Council's Highway Improvement Plan called for double yellow lines opposite Grange Way.  KCC say a Traffic Regulation Order Consultation would be required, and with the marking costs the total cost would be £3,125.  PC don’t want to pay for this, so have asked Sevenoaks Council to pay.

05 February 2025 - Hartley Parish Council: Football
(1) NAG Football Club said girls team no longer playing at Manor Field.  They also said matches had to be postponed because pitch markings had become invisible, PC said that was down to the weather.  Club asked for reduction next season.  (2) Hartley De Sales asked to remove portable goals.  These had caused the pitches to be made slightly smaller.

05 February 2025 - Hartley Parish Council: Gorse Wood
(1) Removal of fly tipping to cost £475.  (2) Resident of Porchester Close asked for tree to be reduced in height.  PC told by tree surgeon they were not a risk but decided to reduce crown anyway.  Survey also revealed trees with ash die back which need to be removed.  Clerk and committee chairman to get quotes.  (3) Tree had fallen on fence in Gorsewood Road, removed at cost of £120.

(1) Considerable discussion about water hygiene work in the pavilion.  (2) Pavilion floor to be sanded and sealed at a cost of £1,482 to be paid out of Community Infrastructure Levy funds.  (3) Weed Management Ltd reappointed to conduct weed and moss control at cost of £1,611.

Some medium risks identified, equipment can continue to be used but repairs must be done in 3-6 months.  These are Chantry Avenue (swing - quote accepted); Longfield Hill (fence - done); Woodland Avenue (kick wall, picnic table - estimated cost £460).  They reappointed Safeplay as playground inspector for £1,237 per annum.

20 February 2025 - Villagers welcome news a new pub could rise from the ashes
Planning application lodged to rebuild the Green Man at Hodsoll Street following fire in 2021.  The idea is for a ground floor pub with rooms to rent above.  (Additional notes: as of 17/4/25 the application has not been determined.  There are a lot of supportive comments on Sevenoaks's website, but some concerns that this might be a trojan horse application to get a house instead in a few years' time)
