Parish Council Extraordinary Meeting 23 July 2020
Parish Council: Councillors
10 councillors were present for Zoom meeting, along with Helen Boden (clerk), Cllr Brazier (KCC) and 1 member of the public. There were no declarations of interestParish Council: Covid-19
The Amenities Committee of 7 July had voted to hold off opening the Manor Field Pavilion except for access to the toilets for the Cricket Club. Following Government and Action on Communities in rural Kent advice they decide to open the Pavilion, but not the kitchen or changing rooms. Signage to be followed and a maximum of 6 (or instructor plus 3) to use it, hirers to wipe clean surfaces touched, follow signage and police use of toilets to ensure social distancing. As the cricket club were the only ones using the pavilion at the moment they thought once a week clean was sufficient but paid Dartclean an extra £8 to sanitise surfaces. The clerk confirmed that they are covered by insurance as long as they follow official guidelines. (2) Regarding playgrounds as well as government and ACRE advice they had heard from Association of Play Industries. They felt the government guidelines were not feasible in particular providing stewards, booking system, cleaning daily, provision of hand sanitiser, relocation of equipment and new exit/entries. They decided to take a "pragmatic" approach and open all three playgrounds but tell parents they are responsible for cleaning equipment and sanitising their children's hands. (3) Parish Office arrangements of clerk working from home and assistant clerk from the office thought to be working satisfactorilyParish Council: Data Protection
