Old Downs, Castle Hill, Hartley
Old Downs Residential Home is situated just off Castle Hill, and overlooks the Fawkham Valley.  Originally a private residence, then a school, it was turned into a retirement home by Kent County Council in 1950.  It is now privately owned by Nellsar Homes.  They operate 13 homes from their head office in Ash

Fairby Grange, Ash Road, Hartley
Fairby Grange was built in the c17th.  It was a farmhouse for a large farm in west Hartley and then a private residence.  In the c20th it became a home for expectant mothers for the London Borough of Bermondsey.  It is now a residential care home for up to 30 residents.  It is privately owned.

Bramblings is situated near Longfield Station, and is a residential care home for up to 42 residents.  It is run by Bramblings (Kent) Ltd.

Darent Valley Age Concern publishes information and contact numbers for social and private housing aimed at the over 50s.  Within Hartley, the West Kent Housing Association runs social housing at Wellfield and Hoselands View.  There is also private accommodation available on license from the Billings Group at the Bramblefield Estate.
