Old Downs, Castle Hill, Hartley Old Downs
Residential Home is situated just off Castle Hill, and overlooks
the Fawkham Valley. Originally a private residence, then a
school, it was turned into a retirement home by Kent County Council
in 1950. It is now privately owned by Nellsar Homes. They

Grange was built in the c17th. It was a farmhouse for a large
farm in west Hartley and then a private residence. In the
c20th it became a home for expectant mothers for the London Borough
of Bermondsey. It is now a residential care home for up to
30 residents. It is privately owned.
