George Eves was rector of Hartley, the house and lands that he owned in Hartley was Woodins in Church Road.

He leaves his soul to "God my heavenly Father" and his body to be buried "in an assured hope of a joyful resurrection"

To son George: the land purchased from Mrs Ann Statholme in Barkway, Herts

To son Jeffrey: "my house and lands in Hartley now in the tenure and occupation of Leonard Carryer".

To his three eldest daughters, Jane, Elizabeth and Anne: his house and lands in East Kent.

To daughter Cecilia: two tenements in Southfleet with reversion to eldest son.

His "dear and loving" wife to have income during their minority, then half or a third, if she remarries.

To poor of Croydon "where I was born": 20s. To poor of Streatham: 10s. To poor of any other parish where he has land: 10s.

To his overseers: "my very worthy friend" William Swanne, and "my loving neighbour" Thomas Young: 20s each to buy a ring "in remembrance of me".

To wife Elizabeth: all other goods. She is appointed executrix
