01 July 2022 - Medication and beauty products stolen from fire-hit Pender Pharmacy, Milton Road, Gravesend

11 July 2022 - Buses:
Cllr Brazier (KCC) announced KCC plans to cut £2.2m and 40 routes from bus service.  Said Kent Karrier would be reprieved.  Clear Chanel had asked PC for suggested locations for bus shelters (non-ad).  Council had suggested Wellfield and Cherry Trees but neither were considered suitable.

West Kent Housing Association deliver youth work on Thursday afternoons and evenings, during April/May youth worker engaged with 23 young people.  General Purposes committee to make funds available for Family Fun Day in August.  Additional Funday to be paid for by the council at Woodland Avenue on July 26th, provided by Playspace at a cost of £576.

11 July 2022 - Ash Road: Speeding
Resident wrote to complain of speeding by Black Lion, which has caused several accidents and is a danger to people leaving properties on foot where there is no pavement.  General Purposes committee said they had raised this many times with KCC and police and got nowhere, so they didn't want to get involved.

Council to apply for path leading from Beechlands Close into Hartley Wood to be public footpath.  22 statements of use received but will have to be done again because they'd used the old form.  They also plan to apply for path from Old Downs to Fawkham Valley Road if any support.

22 August 2022 - Identical twin sisters from Meopham rescued from separation in London's East End celebrate 98th birthday together
Picture feature on 98 year old twins, one of whom lives at Old Downs Home, the other at Meopham.  When they were born in Canning Town their parents thought they might have to give one of them up because they were so poor, but the community rallied around and saved them from being split up.
