10 October 2022 - Neighbourhood Plan:
Planning Meeting of 31 August 2022 objected to Hartley being called a Service Village.  (this is a new designation proposed by Sevenoaks for Hartley and West Kingsdown, which do not have the services of towns but have a substantially greater number of services than other settlements in the district)  They are also concerned that developers may put in for planning applications before legislation changes, and so will pay planning consultant £400 to write objection if they do.  (This was always a risk when Sevenoaks produced a district plan which didn't meet the government's housing targets and was rejected by the planning inspectorate.  When this happens elsewhere, developers will sometimes nominate sites on the grounds the council hasn't planned for enough housing)
