Obituary of Hilda Glover of Hartley Bottom Farm, described by community as "a beautiful soul".  She started the tack shop in 1978.

21 January 2024 - Storm Isha hits Kent, with several Southeastern trains cancelled after greenhouse blocks tracks – but Dartford Crossing and Sheppey Crossing reopen
Damage included tree blown down at Manor Drive (pictured).  Delays to trains due to trees, trampoline and a greenhouse being blown onto Kent tracks

11 February 2024 - Hundreds of new grammar school places needed in Kent by end of the decade with cost likely to ‘fall on the taxpayer’, education chief warns
County forecasts a shortfall in grammar places over the next 10 years due to increased housebuilding, and an influx of pupils from the outer London boroughs.  North Kent particularly affected and county is considering whether the rules can be changed to favour local applicants.  Interview with Church Road parents of one of 61 children in NW Kent who passed 11 plus but didn't get grammar place.
