The website Nomis has recently published data for the number of households and people per individual postcode. The household figure appears not to exactly equate to the number of houses in that particular road.
The figures below are for the localities of Hartley, Longfield and New Ash Green. They exclude Ash, Hodsoll Street, New Barn and Longfield Hill. A few postcodes straddle the boundary (e.g. Manor Road, Longfield Hill), in these cases I have added the entire population to the locality with the most properties for that postcode.
This time around the big changes are reserved for Longfield village. Thanks to the new estate at the old Longfield School and the addition of Gallops View to the Brickfield estate, the population of Longfield village has risen by nearly a third to 2,105. The number of people in Hartley is fairly steady at 5,393, the biggest increase being Gorsewood Road and the biggest fall being Dickens Close. However New Ash Green's population has fallen by 148 to 5,609. A few neighbourhoods have increased (e.g. Ayelands +39, Caling Croft +18), but this is more than cancelled out by falls in population elsewhere (e.g. Punchcroft -39, Knights Croft -31, Bowes Wood -24).
